George Romero on Facebook, Survival of the Dead Coming

Well I don't know about you, but I'm excited about George Romero's Survival of the Dead. The film will first be released via video on demand on April 30, 2010, followed by a theatrical release on May 28, 2010. As a kid I was terrified by the original Night of the Living Dead. As a teen, I was blown away with Dawn of the Dead, which still remains as my all-time favorite horror film. After Day of the Dead, Romero took a bit of a break from the franchise, but came back strong with Land of the Dead (must see director's cut only - [trailer]) and Diary of the Dead. Now the sixth installment is almost here.

George Romero can be found on Facebook. His Facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1376059625. Be sure to check out his Photos for stills from Survival of the Dead.

In addition to becoming a Facebook friend of mine, I was honored that he became a fan of my Facebook fan page for my book, The Logical Meaning of God at http://facebook.logicalmeaning.com.

Happy New Year to All.

Thanks to the thousands that visited my blog in 2008. With this little blog of mine generating a lot of traffic, I decided to give it a full upgrade. I also have a new YouTube acount http://www.youtube.com/horrormoviesblog with horror movie trailers.

I've also edited posts from the last couple of years and included the trailer within.

Attila Juhasz presents HorrorMoviesBlog.com

That's right. The man who founded the original HorrorMovies.com is back in the genre web game. As many of you know, I founded one of the first commercial genre web sites called HorrorMovies.com in the mid-90s; I later sold it and the site eventually died (no pun intended). Fortunately someone else now owns HorrorMovies.com and has rebuilt it into a premiere genre store and is doing a great job with it.

Later on around 2001, partnered with another individual, I built HorrorEntertainment.com. However unbeknownst to me that person pulled the hosting plug on the site and it disappeared without any explanations. Then with 9/11 happening, I lost my overall my taste for horror movies. It took me a couple of years before I ever watched a horror film again.

Now I'm back. Of course I've never left the web world. In fact, I'm busier than ever with my company Attila's Creative Works, LLC. I'm just back in the web genre world. Though I don't have any plans (at this time) to build this into the monster my past creation was, I wanted an outlet on the web where I can say what I want to say, when I want to say it, about Horror Movies.

Sure there are about a gazillion horror message boards out there, but I needed a place of my own; a place where I can control the topic and not get lost in a sea of posts.

There are so many great classic horror movies and a couple of gems now and then, but there's also a ridiculous amount of garbage that is released; both theatrical and direct to DVD and I will show no mercy. I will also ask you to share your thoughts on my comments, but keep in mind I will only approve comments that are somewhat intelligent and not ridden with rude, crude stupid remarks. This is a blog.

I will also post some topics on movies I haven't seen yet with hopes of getting some non-spoiler feedback.

So I'm here to say what I want, when I want and how I want. Many of you other horror movie fans will dig what I have to say and many will hate it too so we'll have to agree to disagree.

Thanks for stopping by.
